Foxhunting has a long history and tradition in the maintenance of farming, hunting and the conservancy of natural habitats. The connection between people, horses, hounds, and wild animals is one of balance and conservation. Tanheath educates both horseback riders and the general public, adults and children, in how foxhunting evolved.
It promotes, the sustainability and training of foxhounds, the ability to ride cross country, and the respect for the fox’s ability to lead hounds on a chase. The Hunt provides written material, lectures, and clinics on all the aspects of foxhunting as well as practical coaching on how to ride on property without disturbing crops or natural environment.
